The project | tomato cherry | was broadcast online, with streaming video on online platform Kulturprojekte Berlin.
It is an ongoing project, which consists of photographs that conceptually relate to the menstrual cycle, and more specifically to the bleeding phase and the ovulation phase.
In the project | tomato cherry | I'm focused on the visibility of menstruation and the highlighting of the violence and pain experienced by the female body during this process.
Using my body as a material, I "mix" it with two more ingredients: water and cherry tomatoes.
Tomatoes are a product of personal care and production.
The way they are used as material, visually, is equal to the female reproductive system.
In their contact with water and physical movement they create a composition, which is constantly changing.
